  1. Good managers are persistent, bold and confident in their communication skills. A good manager creates a connection with their employees, and importantly, their ability to connect with others.

  2. Loved how you showed the TeamGaryVee brainstorm session and meeting at the end. Really liked the idea of breaking the routine and splitting the teams into groups of 3 and making the best video into a competition. Interesting idea!

  3. There's something to be said for a man that so many young talented ppl desire to and enjoy working for. Gary's an admirable dude for sure. Keep it up and keep it real.

  4. @10:00 When Andy (I believe that's what I saw his name was on the footnotes as it flashed.) said "And a whole bunch of other CHARACTERS". That's the word that stuck out to me. 'Characters'. Not sure if that's just common speak in New York or simply a sign of how connected Gary is with his company on a level of spoken-word. I've heard Gary use the term so many times, so if it's the latter, it's definitely awesome to see that within VaynerMedia!

  5. GV– corporate managers in my experience are HORRIBLE mentors. They're in it for themselves and that's it. But I do agree that they "should" be mentors and work for their direct reports and not vice versa. Your employees are very fortunate to have you as the leader of a company.
Hopefully more corporate leaders will hear your messages about these topics and wake the F up.

  6. Being a Manager and a Leader don't have to reside in the same person.  I have had both in my career, and it's those that can be both fluently that will have a continuous following.  True leaders don't require a title to wield power.  People need to stop equating leadership with a title.  Leaders don't need it.  They know when to be a follower, and switch to leading when the timing is necessary.

  7. Gary i started watching your videos about 4 months ago. I like to do and I dont plan much, I remember only watching half of the first video i ever saw of you, but i kept the things you said in my mind and my whole business thought process started changing over time as I watched more and more of your videos in my free time. I promised to myself i would put into action whatever you said rather than just listen. I failed, i failed and now I own an Lifestyle/Fitness apparel brand with over 12k followers in only 4 months, I took smart marketing strategies, focused heavily on prouduct development and VIRAL type posts to create brand awareness, i hustled and i managed to direct, film and produce and high quality launch video aswell as huslte for free graphic work done for me. Started with nothing and now im doing DROP SHIPS with over 25-30 seperate retailers after endless nights of networking and hustling. I THANK YOU GARY, and to your special fans the people you LOVE, I say to you, DONT JUST LISTEN, GO THE NEXT DAY AND DO. YOU HAVE TO DO. FAIL. LEARN> SUCEED. Much love VaynerNation <3

  8. I agree but I also feel like 90%+ out there in corporate America who are managers are not mentors at all and are in fact more like drill sergeants. Or more like the vice that squeezes the blood from the bone to make corporate lemonade.

  9. I am a. high school teacher. High schoolers you tube a lot. I used one of your videos in my class. Thank you for great content. What is worth learning from your viewpoint to help focus these students?
